Jeff Konopacki: A Principal Mechanical Engineer and President, Jeff brings an engineering and research acumen to Greybeard Engineering. With over 12 US patents, his career spans decades of ground-breaking work in power electronics design and development, high performance engines, and control systems. With over 20 Power Inverter designs produced and validated in industries spanning high performance automotive, aerospace, marine, and industrial segments from 48Vdc to 15kV. Experience with GaN, SiC, and IGBT switches, DC-Link design and development, heat exchangers utilizing phase change refrigerants, water/ethylene glycol, oil and air as cooling mediums.
Skills: Computational Fluid Dynamics, linear and non-linear structural analysis, rapid development processes.

Tom Blum: A Senior Mechanical Engineer and Vice President of Greybeard Engineering with over 3 decades of experience driving innovation and new product development in the marine, automotive, and aerospace industries. As an 8-time Ironman triathlon finisher, he combines technical knowledge with discipline and strategic vision to drive results.
His expertise in 3D CAD solid and surface modeling using SolidWorks, PTC Creo, and Siemens NX, enables rapid design iteration and timely cost-efficient designs. Experienced with SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter. Tom integrates DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles into every project to ensure production-ready designs. His expertise spans a wide range of manufacturing processes, including machining, die casting, lost-foam casting, investment casting, plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, stampings, forgings, rubber molding, additive manufacturing, and tooling/fixture development for manufacturing.
With extensive experience in product development and new start-up ventures, Tom is recognized for his creative problem-solving and innovative thinking, consistently driving the success of companies and products. Tom holds three U.S. patents and is also a U.S. Army Veteran.
